hey there floorballers,
im a 21-year old swedish floorball player who are looking to move down to melbourne for studying. ive been playing at a decent level at AIK, but i quit the game three years ago as a b-junior. since then ive played for fun until i recently signed up with a swedish div 5 club, mostly to keep my self fit during the winter here in stockholm. would be awesome to bring my club down to melbourne and play some floorball there.
so im just a little bit curious about the current standard of the league and the clubs down there. ive applied for swinburn and uni. of melbourne so im looking to stay for at least 2-3 years, so floorball on a regular basis would be very appreciated!
all the best to you guys,
ed

Hey Ed,
There are a few clubs in Victoria (Melbourne) and you are very welcome to join any of them. There are a few Swedes playing in the current league.
Send me an email on
chris.freimann@gmail.com
and I'll fill you in. I'm a Swede myself who has studied and am now working in Melbourne.

Hi Ed,
Welcome! I think you will enjoy it here - it not quite Sweden but the more players like yourself put into it the better it will get!! We also have a women's league -so if you have any friends who are interested in playing - whether they are new to the game or not - please let Chris know and he can hoko them up with the girls.
Hope to see you at floorball soon.
Cheers,
Kim

Cheers, Im sure Ill be fine, nevermind what standard it is, I'm just glad to be able to be involved.
Just made my comeback after a two-year absence the other week, and I actually can't understand how I managed to keep myself out of the game for so long, it's so fun playing, especially when you're winning! I've played two games and scored three, so I'll keep working my way back to full fitness!
How's the season in Australia? I'll be heading down to Melbourne in late june, is that halfway through the season or will I be just in time for the start?
